Benajarafe

In Benajarafe you have a very nice and long sandy beach with several restaurants next door. Playa de Rincón de la Victoria is also a popular beach that is 2 km long and very family friendly as there is not usually much wind and waves. Because the beach is tall, it will never be crowded here. Along the beach there are a beach promenade with palm trees, playgrounds, toilets, showers, lifeguards, restaurants, cafes and shops.

For golf lovers, it is near the Añoreta golf course. There are both driving range and putting green. From the 7th hole you have an incredible view of the sea. It is also close to the golf course Baviera Golf in Caleta de Vélez.

The area has a subtropical climate, which means that vines, almonds, olives, mangoes, avocados, citrus fruits thrive here.

In Rincon de la Victoria there are numerous festivals during the year and there are often many people, parades and fireworks in connection with the festivals. In February, a music festival will be held, in July, Feria de Rincón de la Victoria will be held and the Maritime Fiesta of Virgen del Carmen will be held. In September, the city holds the annual Festival de la Boqueron, which is an anchovy festival.

The city has a fascinating cultural heritage with cultural monuments and attractions for those who are interested in culture. It is very popular to walk by the sea along la Cala to the sanctuary of Virgen del Carmen, the city's patron saint. The road is very beautiful and you walk through tunnels in the rocks. In Benagalbon there is a museum of modern art.
In the Torre de Benagalbon you will find the Roman site, which is an important archaeological site, where you found residues of phenolic ceramics, a spa with corresponding bathrooms and latrines, as well as a Roman villa with thirteen mosaics that were very valuable

Casa Fuerte de Bezmiliana is located in a green area and today serves as an exhibition hall with works of art from well-known artists and concert halls. The fort was built around 1766 to protect the city against English pirates. There are two watchwers in the city that were tasked with monitoring the sea from pirate attacks - El Cantal and Torre de Benagalbon.
